The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a protected natural area in Quintana Roo. This paradise, located on the Caribbean coast, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987

In Mayan, "Sian Ka’an" means "gift" or "gate of heaven". This reserve spans 528,147 hectares and includes reefs, coasts, mangroves, lagoons, jungles, and other ecosystems. It extends across the municipalities of Tulum and Felipe Carrillo Puerto and is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

Description

Transportation is included. We will pick you up from your hotel lobby or designated meeting point and take you to our base in Tulum, where our staff will welcome you.

You will board a vehicle to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. We will travel along an adventurous dirt road through the reserve until we reach the point where you will board boats for the safari. Along the way, we will observe various bird species in the mangroves before searching for sea turtles and dolphins in their natural habitat.

Later, we will enjoy one of the most exciting activities of the tour—snorkeling at the reef. After swimming, we will stop at a stunning natural pool for a refreshing dip and drinks.
